At last, the Lakers finally snapped their losing streak to the Nuggets, earning a 119-108 win to avoid being swept. The victory ended the purple and gold's 11-game losing streak against Denver. The big three of Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves took charge offensively to help LA stick to their usual script of leading in the first half.

In the most crushing loss to the Nuggets yet, the Lakers watched a 20-point second-half lead crumble as they fell to Denver in Game 2 on Monday on a Jamal Murray buzzer-beater, 101-99, falling behind 2-0 in the series. Anthony Davis put the Lakers on his back, scoring 32 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. D’Angelo Russell, who has constantly struggled against the Nuggets, finally came to play, scoring 23 points and going 7-11 from behind the arc.

Lakers start fast, finish slow in Game 1 loss to Nuggets

It was the same old song and dance to start the 2024 NBA Playoffs for the Lakers as they fell short against the Nuggets in Game 1 on Saturday, 114-103. Despite holding a 12-point lead in the first half, their biggest over Denver in 2024, the Lakers slipped in the second half and the defending champions took full advantage, blowing the game open to start the playoffs with a win.

The Lakers outlasted a frantic Pelicans comeback and a back-and-forth fourth quarter to secure a second-straight win in New Orleans and earn the No. 7 seed, 110-106. LeBron James had another epic night, scoring 23 points with nine rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocks. It was a slow night for Anthony Davis, who scored 20 points on 6-16 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds, though he did knock down a pair of clutch free throws late.

Lakers devour Pelicans, capture eighth seed with blowout victory

The Lakers manhandled New Orleans on Sunday, 124-108, to secure the eighth seed and a rematch against the Pelicans in the play-in game. LA’s superstar duo dominated in all aspects of this game yet again. LeBron was an assist-giving machine, dishing out 17 and scoring 28 points with 11 rebounds and five steals. The Pelicans had no answer for Anthony Davis who scored 30 points with 11 rebounds and three assists.

The Lakers grabbed a crucial win against the depleted Memphis Grizzlies, 123-120. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were back together after missing crucial games over the last week and absolutely carried the Lakers. LeBron scored 37 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. AD scored 36 points with 14 rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

All good things must come to an end and the Lakers' win streak did just that on Friday in Indiana. The Pacers earned a 109-90 victory, snapping the Lakers' string of five straight wins. After missing the last game, Anthony Davis returned Friday night and scored 24 points with 15 rebounds and three assists. LeBron James had a dunk fest in the first half and ended the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.

Lakers end two-game losing streak with dominant win over the Hawks

After losing a much-needed game on Saturday, the Lakers bounced back Monday night with a great win against the Atlanta Hawks, 136-105. The starting five for LA has been an offensive threat ever since they were put together and they once again all scored in double digits. D’Angelo Russell knocked down five threes to tie Nick Van Exel for the most threes in a season in franchise history. He finished with 27 points and 10 assists.

The effort was there to start, but losing AD and not finding consistent defense led to the Lakers losing a much-needed game against the Warriors, 128-121. Defense was a figment of each team’s imagination Saturday, with a flurry of offense showering Los Angeles. The generosity was also soaring with both teams dishing out 20 assists in the first half.

With the Timberwolves dealing with key injuries, Sunday’s game had all the makings for a classic trap game. The team needed to secure this win, and they did just that, 120-109. After a dismal start to the game, the Lakers pieced together another impressive win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, 116-104. Turnovers were the bane of the Lakers' existence tonight as they ended the game with 20, 12 of them coming in the first half. After a terrible start to the game, their defense picked up and they held Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to 11 points and Chet Holmgren to seven points in the opening two quarters.
